I've been a lifelong dog and animal lover, with a special place in my heart for giant breeds. My journey began with a rescued Saint Bernard, but it was in 2007, when I welcomed my first Leonberger, Mason, that I truly fell in love with the breed. What started as a desire for a loving family companion soon grew into a passion for showing Leonbergers and, eventually, breeding these remarkable dogs.

As my love for the breed grew, I imported Koosa from Belgium and Heike from Germany to begin my breeding program. In 2013, I welcomed my first litter under the kennel name Masonhaus, named in honor of the Leonberger who started it all. Since then, Masonhaus has grown through generations of carefully planned litters, now reaching our “M” litter.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of raising and personally showing numerous Champions and Grand Champions, including six Bronze Grand Champions. My dogs have earned 13 Versatility Medallions, with several finishing among the Top 20 Leonbergers in the country over the years. I'm also proud to be recognized as an AKC Breeder of Merit. While these accomplishments are meaningful to me, it's the relationships I've built with my dogs and the families who love them that I treasure most.

My breeding philosophy centers on producing healthy, well-rounded Leonbergers that represent the best qualities of the breed. I place great importance on comprehensive health testing, excellent structure, and breed type, with particular attention to strong toplines and correct rear angulation. Above all, my goal is to give every puppy the best possible start in life and find loving, devoted homes where they will be cherished members of the family. I incorporate Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Puppy Culture practices into raising my litters, with an emphasis on early socialization, confidence, and preparing each puppy for life with their new family. Mason may have started my journey with Leonbergers, but each generation since has continued to deepen my appreciation for this incredible breed and the joy they bring to our lives.
